Important information for indoor training and updates on pre-season preparation

Dear Members, Players & Parents,

Happy new year and welcome to the 2025 cricket season!

Cricket may not be on your minds at the moment but we wanted to update you on the activities that have been happening behind the scenes to prepare for the new season as well as provide details on coaching, winter nets and attending indoor training.

Coaching improvements
Some exciting news is that we have introduced a major change to coaching for 2025 and will now use 2 professional coaches for all junior and adult net sessions. This is part of the club’s longer-term plan to improve the quality and amount of coaching provided to current and new members. We are also looking to improve training equipment for nets with the possibility of introducing portable bowling machines.

Club coaches and training plans
All our coaches are ECB level 2 qualified with a wealth of coaching and playing experience across the Surrey championship, Middlesex district and England age-group levels. Nicky Ison has also been working with Paddy Willard and Chris Harrison to ensure that training plans will be produced ahead of training sessions.

Winter nets schedule
Indoor nets will be held at Claremont Fan Court School starting on the 14th of January. All junior and adult players must register on Pitchero before attending training so that the club can collect emergency contact details and information on medical conditions. The indoor net schedule is attached for reference.

Winter nets attendance
Please confirm your own or your child’s attendance in advance of each training session using the Pitchero mobile app. You can find details on how to register or mark attendance through our Pitchero manuals page on the club website:

New members welcome!
New members are always welcome so do let your friends, family and neighbours know about the club. Our annual subs are exceptionally reasonable compared to other local clubs, we have fantastic facilities and don’t forget Festive Fridays where we aim to get players and parents together from across all teams and age groups.

Membership benefits
Club members receive a number of benefits, including a 20% discount on drinks at Pistachios in the Park (pavilion café) and special deals at Zeitoun restaurant. We’re looking to expand these benefits in future.

In addition to the above, the Women’s XI have entered a league for 2025, the winter pitch preparation is on-going and the Saturday 1st XI fixtures have been published.

We're looking forward to the new season and hope to see you all in the coming months.

Kind regards,
Nicky Ison (Club Manager) & Craig Schultz (Chairman)
