It was a huge success as they sold around 550 burgers and hot dogs which made it an extremely busy day. The queue was constant throughout and only eased up around 5.30pm as the flower show was drawing to a close.

Preparation had started well in advance of the event to meet with the flower show organisers, arrange food supplies, source volunteers, create rotas, complete risk assessments and so on.

Running the stall was no small feat either with almost 20 members volunteering to get involved and collectively putting in around 60 hours of effort!

Setup started early in the day and was followed by around 6 hours of cooking & serving before the team could pack up and head off for well-earned refreshments. We hope you're all getting a chance to take it easy and rest up today!

All profits from the day go towards maintenance, equipment and training and this helps us keep subs low for all members.
