Who we are
We are a community-centric club and we welcome players of all ages and abilities. Participation, enjoyment, development and community are our key values.
Club Atmosphere
We strive for a friendly and social atmosphere for players, parents, supporters and visitors. BBQs are held regularly on match days and training days.
Friday evenings, in particular, are a great opportunity to head over to the Rec and meet other members in a relaxed environment and wonderful setting. We hold a number of social events during the year and will keep you informed as these are added to the club calendar.
Our annual cricket week takes place in the last week of July when the junior and adult sides play matches against other local clubs. We hold family BBQs after the matches.

Junior Cricket
Junior players are at the heart of the club and our cricket offerings start from 5 years old and upwards for both boys and girls.
All Stars and Dynamos - Aged 5 to 18
We offer the ECB All Stars (aged 5 to 8) and Dynamos (aged 8 to 11) programmes for children who are new to cricket and it’s a fun and enjoyable introduction to the game.
We recommend that children with prior cricketing experience rather look to join the age group sides instead of Dynamos.
Age Group Sides - U10+
Boys and girls age groups sides run from under 10 upwards and the sides play hard and softball formats in the younger age groups. The sides play league matches and friendly games.
Women's Cricket
We introduced a women's side in 2023 for ages 16+ and it has proved extremely popular. It's a great way to play some sport and meet other people within a social environment. The focus is on fun and enjoyment and the annual subscription is exceptionally low.
The team will play softball cricket initially and no cricket experience or equipment is needed.
Men's Cricket
We run a number of men's sides which play both mid-week and weekend games, the sides include:
Saturday 1st XI: League cricket in the 1st XI, Division 2 of the Shepherd Neame Surrey County Cricket league
Sunday XI: Friendly, 40 over games that are mainly played at home on the Rec
Saturday Social XI: Short-format friendly fixtures all played at the Rec on Saturday afternoons
T20 Side: Mid-week T20 matches with a mix of friendly and league fixtures
Facilities
We are extremely fortunate to have outstanding facilities which include 2 artificial pitches, 11 turf pitches, 2 fixed bowling nets and 1 mobile net.
We are able to run 2 junior matches in parallel to multiple training sessions. We have also invested in a variety of off-field equipment to build the club identity and create a welcoming environment for players, parents and visitors.
Joining the Club
You will need to register yourself and your child/ren on Pitchero, prior to training, by clicking JOIN.
We have a number of Pitchero manuals which will guide you through the steps.
We will check the details and approve your application. We may need to ask for some further information on medical details and emergency contact information if this hasn't been captured upfront during the registration process.
Team managers use Pitchero to request availability and publish team selections.
Coaching & Training
All players must be registered via our website before they will be able to attend training.
We hold indoor and outdoor nets during the season for our age group teams and adult sides. Indoor nets are held at Claremont Fan Court School from early January until Easter. Outdoor nets run after Easter on the Claygate recreation ground.
All training sessions are run by professionally qualified coaches. We also offer additional Easter and Summer cricket camps over the holiday periods.
2024 Outdoor Nets
The outdoor training schedule for juniors and adults will be finalised closer to the start of outdoor training.
Outdoor training on the Rec usually commences after the Easter school holidays.
